Xin Yi Supports Earth Hour 2009!

In support of Earth Hour 2009, all lights will be dimmed for today :)

On Earth Day

The family was all talking about this Saturday's Earth Day where we off all the lights for an hour from 2030 till 2130 hrs. It all started when Bryan saw the advertisement by Shebby Singh on ESPN. The conversation went something like....

Bryan: "I am SO excited about this!" ;) "We are going to do it this Saturday everybody!" (Announcing to all at home LOUDLY!) "BUT.... can we do it with the air-cond on?" ;p

Me: "Ya right, boy!" -in a sarcastic manner

Mum: "No, we should off everything... then go hang out at the mall. So we wouldn't be the ones who on the current." Laughs.

Dad: "I don't care what are you going to do but I will be enjoying my dinner at that time in Ipoh." (Dad will be back to Ipoh to pay his respect to my paternal grandfather and great grandfather as 'Cheng Beng' is around the corner, by the way)

Bryan: "So how? So how? Are we going to do this? Pls pls pls... I REALLY want to."

Mum: "During the 10 minutes power failure the other day already affected you so much, what more about this 1 hour???" Raises eye-brow. "And cheche is right, by leaving the air-cond on defeats the purpose-larr."

Me: Laughs happily :D

So we'll see what happens when 2030 hrs hit on 28 March 2009 this Saturday at home :)
By the way, Bryan is my youngest brother who's only 14 this year. He is the youngest boy among the four of us. He normally makes 'funny' suggestions which tickle everyone at home. This Earth Day example is one of them.

She REALLY Has A Blog!

I thought this 'Princess' was only faking about her blog in the drama. But apparently, YauYau from Emergency Unit (EU)- a TVB drama which I am following lately on Astro On Demand channel 921 at 9.30pm weekdays, REALLY does have a blog :)

Alright.. alright. If you do not have a clue on who I am talking about, in the drama EU, there is this character played by Elanne Kong (or known as YauYau in the show) who is the daughter of one of the triad's head, happens to be a blogger. In the blogosphere, there is another 'Prince' who oftens drop her words of encouragement and support which in the end helps to become one of the top bloggers in Hong Kong. In reality, 'Prince' is actually Man who's a policeman who hunts for her father- the typical drama plot!

Ain't she pretty? She is one of the reasons why I have been following the drama diligently after work everyday. She has really pretty features (which is essential for a movie star- I think), she has good acting skills, her character in the drama reminds me of myself ;) And yes, she sings the sub-theme from the drama as well. Don't you start to like her now, too?

2009's Wishlist # 3

....to maintain at 50kgs till end of the year!
Yes! It may sound like a typical girl's goal but I really wish I could stay at where I weight now; makes my shopping session more fun ;) It took me a hard time to lose almost 14 kgs last year over 4 months and I vow not to let my effort go to waste.

Yes, exercise is essential, I know. I am working on it.

2008 had been a rough year for me. An eventful one. I look forward to a more positive year ahead in 2009 :)

... to change my mobile.

My current SGH U-700 has been failing me with calls. I can barely hear my voice calls most times. Despite the fact that I enjoy the dialling and call functions where you can put unknown numbers which you do not wish to pick up to the "call reject list", as well as the sms function which I just got familiarised with but the unheard calls are just nuisance!

If financially allows, I intend to change to the new Samsung Pixon MM8800 which looks something like below :)

Birthdays...

March must have been an eventful month (for birthdays especially!). Numerous people around me seems to be celebrating their big day this month. Hence, I decided for a birthday shout out to everyone :)

1. DAD
Yes! My old man turns 54 today. "Pa, I pray you'll be blessed with good health till you see me get married, kids."

2. William- Mr Good Buddy.
"Yes dear friend. I am sorry I couldn't make it for your birthday celebration and I am sincerely feeling sorry! I will make it up to you next year, I promise!"

3. Vincent- A good friend.
You are deeply remembered and missed by all of us until today.

4. Grace, Yin San and Sok Yen- my dear colleagues.
The birthday cake was seriously yummy *salivates* ;) Anyways, Happy Birthday to all three of you. I had fun on Friday over dinner but not looking forward to Tuesday going back to work! LoLs ;p
